La Carlota came along since our time. I remember it was pitch dark if you step outside the poblacion. Now, lighting around the city I consider extravagance because of the proximity between lights. It is like daytime. Rosters are confused.

When the first time I witnessed the lighting up of plaza with Christmas lights, I was impressed. And I was inclined to believe that this is one of its kind as the politicians claimed here in our place aside from that in abroad. But when I went around the Negros and happened to go home late in the evening there were many municipalities and cities lighting up their plaza too during Christmas seasons. And they were more impressive than ours! What a bluff!
